TweetDeck Beta for Linux: Screengrab Tour
TweetDeck is a well known and much loved desktop application used for managing your Twitter and recently your, Facebook accounts. TweetDeck is an Adobe Air application and requires that you have Adobe Air already installed. The linux version of TweetDeck does not allow for integration with Facebook but as a Twitter client it is fully loaded. This is a tour of this little 2.1mb application.
Update April 9th 2009: TweetDeck just asked me to update it and lo and behold Facebook status updates are also now available. Yes, you can post updates to both Facebook and Twitter now. The icon is also now changed!

The main menu allows you to open up other sections of TweetDeck
The All Friends section shows you all the tweets from everyone that you are following
The Replies section shows the @replies to you
12seconds.tv is a service somewhat like twitter but on video and TweetDeck can be setup to get data from it
You can search the whole of twitter-sphere for particular keywords and see the results immediately
Adding people you follow to Groups is as easy as putting in the name of the group and checking the boxes of the people you want to add to those Groups
StockTwits shows tweets from your account at StockTwits.com and you can also see random recommended tweets
TwitScoop scans hundreds of tweets to see what the leading topics are and then displays them as a cloud
