Android Apps – Google Places

Google Places recently became available in the Android Market here in India. This is a screen-shot tour of the app. This application would have been infinitely more usable if Google Navigation worked in India. In it’s current form, its not bad. It looks like the venues and locations are pretty up to date and should be useful if I am in an unfamiliar location and need to find an ATM.

@ssd Which application? Are you talking about Google Places? If yes then you just need to make sure that you have the latest version of Google Maps installed on your Galaxy. Places is part of that install now.
Do you have the Samsung Galaxy or the Samsung Galaxy Spica? The latest version of Google Maps requires at least Android 1.6 or 2.1 and above. The Samsung Galaxy has 1.5 and Google Maps will not run on that.
