There is no denying that the 7" size combined with the widescreen layout is the way to go. I for one an tired of the black bands on the iPad while watching movies.

The Reign of the 7 inch Tablets

It’s finally happening. Common sense and practicality is clearing the fog caused by the introduction of a ground breaking device by Apple in April 2010. The iPad came in only one screen size; 9.7 inches. The device became the mould in which all other tablets began to be made. Then in November 2010,...

Google Maps has Live Traffic Updates for Indian Cities

Google recently updated their Maps application with a couple of major (in my opinion) updates for India. Live traffic data for major cities in India and turn by turn navigation (which is in beta). The traffic data looks really good. Accurate for the areas that I frequent. I do wonder where this data...

Google Maps VS. iOS6 Maps

I am an extremely heavy maps user. Both for work and for recreation. When it comes to work I need to quickly and accurately look up landmarks to places that I need to go for meetings and on the recreation front I like to see a lot of new places and explore areas of the earth where I am probably not going...

Review: Spice MI 410

I had been using the Samsung Galaxy Spica Android phone for over a year. I decided to try and get rid of the phone and pick up another low to medium cost Android phone to replace the Spica. My primary phone device, thanks to work, is a Blackberry and my primary consumption device in the iPad2. Therefore,...

Android Apps: Camera360

I have a decent shooter in my current Android phone. It is a 5MP sensor that does the job when required. However, there is definitely something lacking in the software for the camera that comes with the OS by default. It has all the functions, but doesn’t seem to process the captured images in...

Android Apps – GTasks

Over the years I have used and discarded many note taking / list making apps. Very useful and well made apps like ColorNote, Springpad and others. After having tried them and moved on from them, I have realized that there is only one “app” that I have used through that time till today. Tasks...

Android Apps – Thrutu

If you have ever felt the irritation of not being able to do something on your Android phone while you were on a call, you are not alone. For one, the notification bar locks up and cant be used and also basic things like sending a contact to the person on the other end is a longish process. So, it was...

BlackBerry Apps – PodTrapper

Having recently moved from an Android phone to a BlackBerry as my primary work phone, I thought this would be a good time to look at one of the apps that I find myself using most. The move made it very obvious to me that I was really spoilt when it came to apps on my smart phone. Android had so many...
